Autumn Leaves

Thu Nov 27, 2008, 2:17 PM
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

And the most beautiful, expressive and sad performance of this song I've ever heard [link] .

Artist: Eva Cassidy
English Lyrics by Johnny Mercer

The Five 2009 Seasons Calendar

Wed Nov 19, 2008, 5:19 AM
Hallo!
After some weeks of conceptual and graphical work and about two years of shooting photos of a beautiful town park I can present you calendar for 2009 year. To be honest, this isn't the classical DA Calendar, but one sheet of picture with photos and months/dates below.

In the photographs you may see the same place shot five times from this [link] bridge in different seasons: late autumn, winter, spring, summer and early autumn - this photo composition is also submitted as separate picture here [link] . Only Sundays, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day are marked. And well... print available (up to 24x36 in. 300 dpi).

PS. If someone ask I will submit version with Polish Holidays too.

In white and pale

Sun Nov 2, 2008, 7:31 AM
Hallo!
Just going to show you some new pictures.
This is an experimental image postprocessing digital technique allowing to obtain white and pale color images with enhanced contrast between dark and light areas of photography.
Enjoy or criticize.

My First DD!

I'm really surprised and, well, happy, that Thousand eyes IV (suggested by =leocbrito) was Daily Deviation, 2008-09-29.

Thank you very much for all your comments and favs, my friends. I'm going to answer the questions about camera, lens etc. you asked.

It's great you like all these macro-monster photos. Most of them live in my garden, so after some successfull sessions I'm terribly frightened of going to my scary backyard...

More photos soon (macro and architecture/city from trip to Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia this summer).

A time for bugs…

Mon May 26, 2008, 11:58 AM
It’s almost June and here, in Poland, we still have cold and rainy days. So still waiting for the sunny spring.

However there were a few quite warm days this month. Well then, I could test new photographic stuff and techniques of shooting. As I thought, photos from DSLR are much better, but operating this kind of camera is much more difficult I imagined. Additionally full equipped camera (with lens, extension tubes and flash) is a huge and heavy device in hands. After one hour in the garden I wondered if tripod is necessary to shoot macro or maybe working out several weeks in a gym…

Finally after many attempts, completely failed shots and experiments, I managed to obtain some satisfactory photographs. They will be shown in the gallery (but not only the macro photos and not only from DSLR - will be marked). Please don't hesitate to comment and point out any shortcomings or errors. I will be very grateful to you for any tips and advices, my friends.

PS. Sorry for my poor English.
